I went and saw the new movie “Dinner for Schmucks” a few weeks ago and the whole time I couldn’t stop thinking about how Paul Rudd has barely aged. I’ve been a fan since way back in the day when he was the ex-step brother turned boyfriend in “Clueless.”
Now a days it seems like he’s in every other movie, but I’m definitely not complaining. I’ve thought for a long time that he’s hilarious, and even better, he seems like he would be a nice down-to-earth guy in real life. My suspicions confirmed this when that video of him as a grungy floppy-haired DJ at a little girl’s bat mitzvah became a viral video a couple of weeks ago. Since then I’ve watched it over and over on satellite internet that I found through wild blue packages.
One of my favorite TV cameos of his was when he married Phoebe on “Friends.” It was so funny to see her finally find someone that was weird enough for her, but not creepy weird like a lot of the people that she seemed to date on the show were.
I’m really looking forward to seeing some of the upcoming movies he’s in and hoping some more bat mitzvah DJ videos show up online.
